Intensive behavioral health services (IBHS)

Therapy where it’s needed most

Milestone Behavioral Health is eager to provide vital care through IBHS, a unique therapeutic program that enables our clinicians to help children and their families across all settings, including but not limited to, school, community, and in the home.

We invite children and youth between the ages of 3 and 18 who have emotional or behavioral issues to take part in our intensive behavioral health support program, focusing on the child’s strengths and resiliency. Our IBHS program  provides individualized, inclusive counseling and behavioral management services. The ultimate goal is to stabilize the child through in-depth interactions and active involvement of all resources and supports in the child’s life, which  could be the parents, caregivers, neighbors, role models or other members of the family. The support system for the child is highly recommended to embrace and engage in the treatment process

A Team Tailored to Meet Your Child’s Needs

Our treatment teams of behavioral health professionals, which can consist of a Behavioral Consultant, Mobile Therapist and a Behavioral Health Technician, offers your child the tools to succeed within their educational and living environment.

Behavioral Consultant (BC):

The BC identifies behavioral goals and intervention techniques and recommends behavioral change methods. Then, in collaboration with the family and other members of the treatment team, the Behavior Consultant designs and directs the implementation of the intervention plan, ensuring that it is individualized to each child and to the needs of their family.

Mobile Therapist (MT):

The Mobile Therapist provides comprehensive therapeutic services to children and their families.  The MT supplies support and assistance to the child and his or her family at their home, in school, and community settings.

Behavioral Health Technician (BHT):

The BHT helps implement the Treatment Plan objectives and goals. They work directly with the child and adolescent at home, in school, day care, or in their community and provide one-on-one interventions, including behavior management support, emotional support, time-structured activities, crisis intervention, and psychological rehabilitation.

Every Child is Unique. So is Our Approach.

Our programs are individually designed to include multiple disciplines in an effort to address the specific and unique challenges of the child. This tailored approach ensures we are delivering the vital therapeutic treatment needed.  The child will begin by being evaluated by our psychologist to determine the need for services and if it meets the criteria for medical necessity. We then recommended an individualized program that will best aid in their overall growth and development.

Our dedicated treatment carry out the communications and coordination of all systems of care involved with the patient’s treatment, which can comprise of scheduling psychological and psychiatric evaluations, and coordinating interagency meetings throughout the patients’s treatment program. The ultimate goal is to stabilize the child through intensive interactions and active involvement of all resources and support in the child’s life working towards the goal.

We work closely with school staff to help your child get the needed support as well as guiding teachers on implementing behavioral strategies that promote success in the classroom.

Community-Based Services

The world outside your home can feel overwhelming. By venturing out with their Treatment Team, your child can actively work on and develop vital skills in their everyday environment and enables us to provide needed  guidance and support in the exact setting that is challenging for them.
